TIGHT ACCESS NO CHALLENGE FOR UPGRADED JCB EXCAVATOR
JCBCEA have introduced an upgraded JZ140 to their heavy excavator range, with versatility, productivity and performance in mind for operator control.
At just two thirds of the length of a conventional machine, JCB’s upgraded JZ140 excavator brings lifting capacity, working range and power to even the tightest work sites.
The new JZ140 is 29% shorter than a conventional machine of similar weight with dramatically reduced tail-swing for easy manoeuvrability in confined working environments.
Deon Cope, JCBCEA National Product Manager for Heavy Line Excavators, says the JZ140 has taken all of the class-leading performance benefits of the original JZ140 model and incorporated them into a new machine.
“The machine has built on what was already a solid base for our excavator product range, and with the reduced tail-swing we’re seeing zero compromise on dig performance and stability, making it a highly competitive product in the Australian market,” Deon says.
The JZ140 is powered by the award-winning JCB T4i EcoMax engine, and features an upgraded cabin, electrics and hydraulics, in line with the JS range of JCB hydraulic excavators.
“The all new JZ140 has been designed to power through jobs with the latest generation hydraulic system, class leading chart performance and a full size operator’s cab for efficient and smooth control,” Deon says.
“A compact counterweight and revised engine positioning means the machine has excellent stability, thanks to a lowered centre of gravity. This delivers improved lifting capacity, digging power and working range.
“It also means the machine can work more effectively close to buildings and other structures, with a reduced risk of causing damage.”
JCB’s SMART monitoring system is also included, providing the operator with engine oil and coolant information and allowing daily checks to be carried out from within the cab.
The updated JZ140 also comes with JCB’s LiveLink telematics system, which delivers information for fleet managers.
“LiveLink allows operators to remain in control with enhanced maintenance reporting, critical machine health alerts, real time location data and Geofencing alerts, improving operator productivity and maximising uptime,” Deon says.
