EFFICIENCY AND EMISSIONS IN MIND FOR UPGRADED JCB JS300 EXCAVATOR
JCB Construction Equipment Australia (CEA) has released the new JS300 – bringing rugged durability to their JS excavator range.
JCB CEA National Excavator Product Manager, Deon Cope, says that the new machine calls upon JCB’s sound manufacturing reputation to give it unparalleled strength in its class.
“The JS300 incorporates the tried and true elements of other JCB models to create a superstructure that comes with all the improvements and benefits of our larger range, but in a more compact body.”
Built to last
The hydraulic tank on the new JS300 has maximum sight gauge capacity of 238 litres – an increase of 40% – that allows the machine to work in the most extreme conditions and temperatures.
“This machine has been built with Australian conditions in mind. It can withstand the hottest and harshest environments, reach peak performance when faced with demanding jobs,” said Deon.
The body is equipped with a house frame, service bay doors and latches that add longevity and durability, and give longer life to all machine components; while the box section side frames add strength to help localise any external forces from damaging the product.
The key components of larger JCB excavators have been used in building this new model, including the JCB DieselMAX 672 Engine, the 590L fuel tank and the increased hydraulic tank capacity.
“These new components all come together to create a machine that is strong and versatile. This machine truly is an all-rounder, making it an ideal fit for the owner/operator or for rental,” said Deon.
25% more fuel efficient
The JS300 excavators are using the JCB Dieselmax 672, bringing increased fuel efficiency and a fuel consumption reduction of up to 10 litres per hour, compared to the externally sourced Japanese engines used in earlier models.
The fuel tank on this model has been upgraded to 590L capacity, delivering a 4.6% upgrade over its predecessor to allow longer run times without stopping to refuel.
“One of the best ways to get the most value from your machines is through fuel economy,” explained Deon. “It significantly increases your service intervals and reduces down time so you can get jobs done faster and more efficiently.”
